  • Q1. What makes Andyco Driving Solutions different from other driving schools?

  • Q2. Do I need any prior experience before booking lessons with ADS?

Absolutely not. We welcome complete beginners as warmly as we welcome those who already have some driving experience. Whether you have never touched a steering wheel or you are picking things back up after a break, our instructors will assess where you are and build a lesson plan that works for you from day one.

  • Q3. What type of licence am I working towards with ADS?

ADS prepares learner drivers for the UK driving test, working towards a full category B (car) licence. Our training covers all elements of both the theory and practical test requirements — including manoeuvres, independent driving, and hazard perception — so you are thoroughly prepared before you sit your test.

  • Q4. How many lessons will I need before Im ready for my test?

The honest answer is that it varies from person to person. The DVSA estimates the average learner needs around 45 hours of professional tuition before they are test-ready, but some learners progress faster and others need more time. At ADS, we will never push you towards a test before you are genuinely ready — your safety and confidence always come first.

  • Q5. Do you offer automatic or manual lessons?

We offer both automatic and manual tuition to suit your preference and goals. If you are unsure which to choose, we are happy to advise. Learning in a manual gives you more flexibility as you will be able to drive both manual and automatic vehicles once qualified. Learning automatic is often quicker and easier for some learners. We will help you decide what is right for you.

  • Q6. Can I choose the days and times of my lessons?

Yes. We understand that our students have busy lives — work, college, family commitments — and we do our best to offer flexible scheduling to fit around you. Lessons are available during weekdays, evenings, and weekends, subject to availability. Contact us at info@andycodrivingsolutions.com to discuss what works best for you.

  • Q7. What happens if I fail my driving test?

First and foremost — don't be disheartened. Failing a test is a common experience and not a reflection of your ability or potential. At ADS, we will review your test report together, identify the areas that need work, and build a targeted plan to address them before your next attempt. Our dedication to your success doesn't stop at your first test.

  • Q8. Do you help with theory test preparation as well?

Yes. While our primary focus is practical driving tuition, we understand that the theory test is an essential first step. We provide guidance on study resources, hazard perception tips, and general advice to help you pass your theory test with confidence before you sit your practical. We believe a well-rounded understanding of the rules of the road makes you a better driver overall.

  • Q9. Is ADS suitable for nervous or anxious learners?

Absolutely — and you are not alone. Many of our students come to us feeling anxious about learning to drive. Our instructors are trained to be calm, patient, and encouraging at all times. We create a non-judgemental environment where making mistakes is part of the learning process. We go at your pace, build your confidence gradually, and celebrate every step of your progress, however small.

  • Q10. How do I get started with ADS?

Getting started is simple. Reach out to us at info@andycodrivingsolutions.com and we will get back to you promptly. We will have a friendly chat about your experience, your goals, and your availability, then get your first lesson booked in. There is no pressure and no commitment required upfront — just a conversation to see how we can help you become the best driver you can be.
